George Caragea
George Caragea is a Staff Software Engineer at Snowflake. He joined in 2025 and has been focusing primarily on enhancing performance, scalability and capabilities in the DML area of Query Execution, with a special interest in open table formats such as Iceberg. He was previously at Lacework and AWS Redshift, spanning both database internals and application layer expertise. George holds a Ph.D in Computer Science from University of Maryland.
