Snowflake Named Five-Time Winner of 2024 EMEA Regional AWS Partner Awards

Snowflake recognised by AWS in UKI, France, BeNeLux, CEE and Israel as leaders in helping customers drive innovation.

Las Vegas, NV – December 4, 2024 Snowflake, the AI Data Cloud company, today announced at AWS re:Invent that it has been named as 2024 AWS Technology Partner of the Year in five sub-regions within Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA): UK & Ireland, France, Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg (BeNeLux), Central & Eastern Europe (CEE), and Israel.

The AWS Partner Awards are a regional Amazon Web Services (AWS) award recognising partners that play a key role helping customers drive innovation and build solutions on AWS. They acknowledge AWS’s Top Partners of the Year and Rising Star Partners of the Year, whose business models have embraced specialisation, innovation, and collaboration over the past year. Winners were selected based on objective criteria with results audited by a third-party analyst firm Canalys.

Since becoming an AWS Partner in 2017, Snowflake has achieved Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Retail Competencies. Most recently, Snowflake has also been recognised as an AWS Generative AI Competency Partner as part of this month’s AWS re:Invent. This recognition is awarded to AWS partners that have shown technical proficiency and a successful track record of developing and implementing the newest generative AI solutions for their customers. 

Snowflake’s Generative AI Competency recognition came as a result of a customer use case, where the customer leveraged Anthropic Claude with AWS Bedrock and Snowflake Cortex AI to develop a chatbot that helped fuel innovation at scale by democratising employee access to over 700 pages of proprietary R&D documents.

The AWS Partner Network (APN) is a global partner program, focused on helping partners build successful AWS-based businesses or solutions by providing business, technical, marketing, and go-to-market support. The APN includes independent software vendors (ISVs) and systems integrators (SIs) around the world, with AWS Partner participation growing significantly during the past 12 months. 

At AWS re:Invent, Snowflake also announced that it was joining as a Founding Partner of AWS Sustainability Data Fabric to empower its customers to leverage more reliable data when solving use cases such as more accurately calculating their estimated carbon emissions, assessing climate risk or understanding the biodiversity impact of the organisation.
