Mike serves as the Chief Information Officer at Snowflake, overseeing global IT, data and security functions. Prior to joining Snowflake, he served as CIO of Payments at J.P. Morgan. Before joining the firm, Mike served as the Chief Executive Officer at Bakkt, a publicly traded company specializing in digital assets trading and payments. Before Bakkt, Mike was Head of Payments Engineering at PayPal, where he led the team through PayPal’s second IPO in 2015, and led Google’s Payments Engineering and Wallet Engineering teams through the launch of Google Wallet in 2011. Additionally, he founded and scaled two payments and commerce startups, both of which were acquired at maturity. Mike is also a veteran who served four years in the United States Army.
