PredictHQ is a demand intelligence company. We are telling some of the world's leading brands where their demand is coming from using real-world events, such things as concerts, sporting events, expos and festivals.
PredictHQ's mission is to explain the catalyst behind every form of demand. We are the only provider of intelligent event data that's forecast ready, can be integrated immediately into your demand forecasts.
Events are dynamic, so it's not enough just to know that an event has been scheduled. You need to check to see whether it has been postponed, changed, the popularity increases, more people are attending. An example of a real-world event is the Superbowl - we are predicting viewership for this to the county level in the United States. This is used by QSR restaurants to proactively prepare orders so that customers don't need to wait.
One of the world's leading brewing companies uses PredictHQ data to help optimize supply chains. A 1 -2% improvement in forecast accuracy can equate to $10-$20 million in savings.
PredictHQ sources its event data from hundreds of different providers. They are publicly available sources that people are familiar with, we have commercial agreements and we have our own customers who are providing their information back to us.
PredictHQ has event data across 19 different categories. We use this to help our customers at either a regional level, an industry level or a specific store level. These customers can provide us their demand data and we can give greater accuracy around the specific events that are driving demand at their location for their industry time.
PredictHQ was originally what we call an API first company, so all of our data was available through APIs. As that has evolved over time, we use Snowflake to deliver that data, millions of events at scale immediately. Our customers no longer need to do difficult ETL. They no longer need to be continuously fetching event data to maintain an updated source of information.
Listing on the snowflake marketplace has opened up a market of potentially thousands of organizations immediately available to our customers who can start a proof of concept. They can see immediate value and integrate directly with their forecasting. By storing this in Snowflake, this has enabled our team to increase our data quality. We are using it to proactively design new models and separating the storage and the compute allows us to scale where we need it.
As demand forecasting becomes more mainstream, we're really excited about the possibilities that tools like Auto ML bring. This allows more customers to access the world of demand forecasting.
