For organizations to fully unlock the value of data, they need to ensure access for all employees, not just technical experts and data specialists. That means providing tools that are intuitive and simple to use, yet powerful enough to extract meaning and insights from live sources of data.
To help our customers achieve this, we’re announcing that Snowflake is investing in Sigma Computing, which offers a cloud-native BI platform with an intuitive, spreadsheet-like interface that puts analytics directly into the hands of analysts, marketers, finance teams, product managers and other non-technical users.
This investment aligns with our broader goal of ensuring that Snowflake customers have access to a broad choice of best-in-class tools that operate seamlessly with the Data Cloud.
With Sigma, users can explore untapped data, iterate on queries, generate visualizations and easily share what they create. And as with our Data Cloud, information in Sigma is analyzed at the source, meaning there’s no need to move or copy data. This ensures that teams are working with accurate, up to date information, and also improves security and compliance.
Sigma was already a close partner of Snowflake: we have many joint customers, and last year Sigma achieved Elite status in the Snowflake Partner Network. This investment brings us even closer together, ensuring that Sigma can continue to make R&D investments that drive innovation for our customers and further enrich the Snowflake ecosystem.
