Fayyaz Younas leads the engineering teams responsible for Snowpark, Snowflake’s functionality to securely deploy and process non-SQL code. Snowpark provides developers with familiar languages, APIs, and user interfaces while building powerful data-centric applications on a common foundation of security, simplicity, performance, and sharing.
Prior to Snowflake, he held leadership positions at companies such as Google and Salesforce, where he was instrumental in delivering analytic capabilities in the cloud. Fayyaz has over 20 years of experience working in the data and analytics domain. He holds a master’s degree in computer science from Stanford University and bachelor’s degrees in computer science and computer engineering from SUNY at Stony Brook.
