Transfer learning is a machine learning technique where a model trained on one task is adapted for a related task. In traditional machine learning, models are built from scratch for each new task. Healthcare: Transfer learning has shown promise in medical image analysis, where models pre-trained on general images are adapted to analyze medical images like X-rays and MRIs.
