Session Descriptor

Learn the benefit of using Snowflake for your Data Lake to simplify your cloud architecture. In this session, we will walk through how we store and process structured, semi-structured and unstructured data within your Data Lake using UDFs. This a session features a live walk through of Snowflake so you can gain an understanding the key concepts of the session.

Session Descriptor

Governance is built into the fabric of Snowflake, join us for a deep dive into Snowflake’s Data Governance capabilities. You will learn how Snowflake’s Governance features map to CDMC controls. Additionally, the session will focus on key features such as Anonymization, Classification and Lineage. Learn how these capabilities work with live examples. We will also discuss the new Horizon capabilities along with Snowflake Data Governance features.

Session Descriptor

You have the best data platform in the world, how can you keep it that way? In this session, we look at key skills such as identifying areas in which performance can be improved and analysing workloads with poor performance causing excess consumption. We will also look at supporting data and usage growth by identifying warehouses that would benefit from scaling up or out from within Snowflake.

Level 200 - Virtual Hands on Lab: How to Build Python Data Engineering Pipelines with Snowpark
Session Descriptor

We have covered the basics of Snowpark, here is your chance to dive in! The Lab looks at Python Data Engineering over using Spark against a legacy file-based data lake. During the lab, you will get hands-on experience with these features and tools and understand how they benefit you as a data engineer!

Wasim El-Omari is a Cyber Security Field CTO at Snowflake, he is based in Melbourne Australia, working in a Global Team focusing primarily on the APJ region. Wasim has more than 20 years of experience in Cyber Security. He has a background in Security Operations, Incident Response, Digital Forensics and Cloud Security. He has Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering in Telecommunications and a Master’s Degree in Information Security with a focused interest in Data Governance, Risk Management & Incident Handling.

His career has taken him globally to different regions and has worked with Fortune 100 companies and Federal Agencies to design, implement and validate effective security programs. He is focused on the Data Cloud at Snowflake and the security that it is intrinsically built for addressing digitization challenges. He is passionate about being able to help customers address their digital challenges in the Snowflake Data Cloud.
