Attribution in the Data Clean Room Using Native Apps and Python Stored Procedures
Attribution measurement is a vital tool for advertisers to assess the impact of their media investments on business outcomes. From multi-touch attribution to Incrementality, these methods use advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to estimate the return on investment of advertising campaigns. As a certified measurement partner for NBC Universal, VideoAmp leverages the Snowflake Native App Framework and Python stored procedures to implement attribution methods in the secure environment of the Snowflake Data Clean Room (DCR) shared between NBCU and VideoAmp. The DCR secure environment allows VideoAmp to execute sophisticated solutions without accessing or storing NBCU’s sensitive impression-level data, while also protecting the proprietary IP of VideoAmp’s attribution methodology. The result is efficient measurement across multiple data sources, enabling effective collaboration and valuable business outcomes.
To support Warner Brothers Discovery’s key mission of delighting users, the data platform team collects approximately 2 billion clickstream data points a day (with spikes of up to 20 billion days) from client applications. This powers AI, analytics, business intelligence, and machine learning. These pipelines are based on hourly batch processing and use the Snowpipe Streaming API. With updates to the data platform team’s server-side processing, they deliver cleaned deduplicated clickstream data with a sub-minute latency. In this session, you’ll hear key learnings from their POC and architecture iterations they’re working through.
