AT&T: Building Enterprise Semantic Models
+
Enterprise semantic layers promise to democratize access across an organization and improve efficiency through intuitive domain representations. To democratize access, the layers' constructs must adhere to the concepts and relationships of an enterprise ontology and derive from the low-level (often messy) enterprise databases and data lakes. The abstraction gap between an ontology and these low-level sources makes semantic layers challenging to build at the enterprise scale.Join this session to see AT&T's methodology for building semantic layers that use both patterns and generators to refine the constructs of an ontology by weaving data from databases and data lakes.
