Welcome to NorthStar London!
During this event, you will discover the power of combining multiple UK datasets readily available on Snowflake’s marketplace together with Cortex Large Language models, to provide powerful insights and data driven simulated incidents. We will be leveraging datasets provided by Carto, Northern trains and the Met Office – you will be surprised with how much you can build with a little bit of Cortex Magic!
During this free, half-day workshop you will:
- Utilise Snowflake Notebooks and Streamlit to bring the datasets together and produce multi layered maps
- Use Cortex Large Language Models to create the following:
- Natural language data driven tooltips
- Generate key events within the North of England, provide geospatial details to plot on a map and answer questions like: Will these impact train services and local businesses? Will the weather potentially impact these events?
- Automate the creation of data driven letters and descriptive weather forecasts
- Be creative and generate synthetic data driven incidents as well as social media statements
Prerequisites
- A laptop with the ability to connect to the internet
The lab will require a free trial account in AWS Oregon. If you have difficulties setting one up, please arrive before 3:00pm where one of our experts can help you.
