In this hands-on lab, participants will learn how to build an automated document processing pipeline entirely within Snowflake using Cortex AISQL. They’ll ingest and parse unstructured files, classify and extract key information, and enable semantic search — all natively, without external services. By the end, attendees will have a working prototype that turns raw documents into searchable, structured insights.

• Setup: Create storage, stages, and directory tables for document ingestion
• Parsing & Classification: Use AI_PARSE_DOCUMENT and AI_CLASSIFY to process files
• Data Extraction: Apply AI_EXTRACT to retrieve structured information
• Semantic Search: Build a Cortex Search index for natural-language document queries
• Automation: Orchestrate the workflow with Snowflake Streams and Tasks
• Wrap-Up: Discuss performance, best practices, and next steps
