14.35 – 15.20 Hear from our customer Lundbeck: From product to project and back again – learnings from how to organize for success

Lundbeck will share their three-year journey from building and implementing their data platform on Snowflake & dbt Labs. The main focus will be on how they’ve itereated on selecting what data products to develop, how to enable business self-service, and how they’ve engaged with business stakeholders and leadership. Kjetil will share his personal story of transitioning from data platform engineer to engineering manager, and the many realizations around how success is a balancing act between ensuring management buy in, timelines, and building things right. Anders will dive into the commercial space, and how we leverage the possibilities on the platform in a dynamic environment.

15.20 – 16.05 Hear from our customer Norlys: What does it take to grow a Data Engineering Team – and prepare for AI?

During a large scale merger of Norlys and Telia Mobil Danmark, a new Data & Analytics unit has been established where +20 Data Engineers have been brought together to assist a large scale consolidation as well as enable the company to work smart with Data and AI. This session will provide insight into leadership and technical aspects of creating a scaled agile organisation, formulating new common ways-of-working, consolidating a fragmented codebase hand in hand with data engineering and modeling best practice and standards centering around a common data platform.

16.05 – 16.25 End the day with an Inspiration Session by Medvind:

Creating a more socially inclusive labor market Henrik Smedegaard Mortensen, founder of Medvind, presents the story of how he created a workplace for some of the most marginalized people in our society. People who struggle with addiction, homelessness and/or mental illness. In Medvind these people are trained in the simple skill of bike maintenance – a service they provide in front of supermarkets and on workplaces throughout Copenhagen. The core thought of the project is, that everyone has the ability of contributing to the common good of society, and that the well-being of socially marginalized people will improve when they are included in a working community.
