Join us for a two-hour technical and hands-on lab session designed for System Integrators, where you will learn to build data lakes using Apache Iceberg with Snowflake and AWS Glue. This session will cover the integration of Apache Iceberg, an open table format that enhances data processing efficiency and reliability, with AWS Glue for data cataloging and transformation, and Snowflake for advanced analytics and data sharing.
Participants will gain practical experience in converting existing data lake tables to Iceberg format, managing metadata, and leveraging Snowflake’s capabilities for seamless data querying and collaboration. This lab will provide a comprehensive understanding of creating high-performance, transactional data lakes that support large-scale analytical workloads and machine learning applications.
Prerequisites: In the session we will provide a mechanism to access AWS Lab Accounts. Please, set up a Trial Account or use your SPN Snowflake Account before this session. If you plan to attend several sessions, we strongly suggest having the account under AWS eu-west-2.
