Harvard Business School Online is the online learning initiative of Harvard Business School with the mission of educating leaders who make a difference in the world, wherever they are. This session will focus on HBS Online’s challenges, learnings and successes around:

  • Using data to increase the reach of its programs
  • Understanding and tune its pedagogy
  • Maintaining its position as a leader in the world of online education, with details describing its data architecture, best practices, and the importance of Snowflake to its success

Since its start as HBX, HBS Online has been a data-driven enterprise. The data from its student information system, its social Course Platform, and its HBX Live global classroom based at WGBH studios in Boston, flows into an enterprise data warehouse and allows for analytics, reporting, and actions using longitudinal data across internal and partner systems.
