  • Moving People Around the World Is Complicated. Moving Data Shouldn’t Be.

    Presented By: American Airlines

A lot has changed since Charles Lindbergh flew the first American Airlines flight in 1923. Over the last century, technological advances allowed us to move more people across the globe, faster than ever before. Our connected world allows us to stay in touch with our loved ones at all times. The global nature of our economy has also resulted in businesses partnering with each other more often than ever before. imely data collaboration is often a key factor in the success of these collaborations. So why has the process of exchanging data between businesses not changed since IBM introduced flat files in the 1970s?

In this session, we’ll present how American Airlines partnered with Snowflake to bring data sharing into the 21st century and how we are changing the fundamentals of how we work and collaborate across our ecosystem.

  • Measure the Economy in Real-time: Lessons from Hedge Funds

    Presented By: Cybersyn

New hybrid work-from-home policies, increasing inflation rates, and a volatile stock market are just a few of the events in 2023 that are shaping new consumer buying patterns. What does this mean for investors, insurers, retailers and consumer brands?

  • Unlocking Opportunity with Usage-based Pricing for Third-Party Data

    Presented By: Snowflake

Traditional data buying requires large upfront expenditures, long-term commitments and bespoke licensing, creating a barrier of entry to using new datasets for data buyers. On Snowflake Marketplace, providers can offer data products with usage-based pricing options to help customers evaluate and buy data without large upfront investments. Data buyers can conduct self-serve proofs-of-concept and evaluations of third party data to prove business value. Join this session to learn how both providers and consumers can unlock new opportunities by leveraging usage-based pricing for third-party data.

  • How Franklin Templeton’s Integrated Data Hub Powers Business-critical Analytics, Operations & Apps

    Presented By: Franklin Templeton

Central to the strategy of powering both enterprise analytics and operational use cases, Franklin Templeton created an Integrated Data Hub in the Snowflake Data Cloud. Building on Snowflake’s core data warehouse and leveraging Unistore for transactional data processing and Snowpark for data science, Franklin Templeton drew on third-party data from Snowflake Marketplace to surface deeper insights in applications and tune data science models while using listing discovery controls to share data with specific business partners.

  • Unifying Patient Population Data Across Communities

    Presented By: Snowflake

Colorado Community Managed Care Network created the “Honeycomb Data Network” in the Snowflake Data Cloud, bringing in data from electronic health records, claims databases, enrollment files, Health Information Exchange messages, and other sources. Once combined, the data is compared against an organization’s known population to determine visibility across data sets. Data sets can be shared to external organizations, filtering to the appropriate shared population only. Data visibility is controlled using a system of nested roles and row-level access policies, allowing for well-governed collaboration on sensitive patient population data.
