The Summit 2020 call for papers has closed. 

Share your SNOWFLAKE Story

Are you a Snowflake customer who has gained big insight and made a big impact by deploying Snowflake in your organization? Summit attendees are keen to hear your inspiring stories of transformation, migration, or innovation. If we choose your session, you’ll receive a complimentary pass to Summit, and Snowflake will cover your airfare and hotel accommodations.

Where have you made big impact?

Data Warehouse Modernization

Have you migrated to the cloud? Maybe you’ve upgraded from another cloud data warehouse to Snowflake. If so, we’d love to hear your story about migration, modernization, or data platform standardization. Share your strategies for successfully implementing Snowflake as your cloud data platform, and the associated business value and success your organization has gained. Weave in stories of how you and your colleagues jobs have changed since switching to Snowflake.

Operating Snowflake

If you operate Snowflake for you organization, regardless of scale, submit your proposed session for this topic. How did you design your solution with Snowflake’s unique cloud-built architecture and built-in security? What tips and tricks did you learn and implement for managing users and growing usage? How have you scaled Snowflake to help your team deliver more impact to your entire organization and to your customers?

Accelerating Analytics

Share how you have easily provided more users with access to more of your organization’s data. How have you used Snowflake with your favorite BI and analytics tools such as Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Sigma, and others to deliver data-driven insights? Highlight your best practices for making faster and more accurate business decisions.

 

Data Science

How have you used Snowflake to enable cutting-edge statistics, data analysis, and machine learning to extract knowledge and insights from data? Is Snowflake your single source of truth for sharing consistent data across your organization? How has Snowflake improved your data science outcomes and led to more accurate business decisions? These sessions will highlight the role Snowflake plays in optimizing your data science pipelines and your favorite integrations with leading data science tools such as AWS Sagemaker, DataRobot, Dataiku and others.

Data Engineering & Pipelines

Data warehouses are at the center of every modern data pipeline. They have to integrate well with various streaming data sources such as Kafka, business applications such as SFDC; and ETL tools such as Fivetran, Matillion, and Informatica. Share how you’ve simplified your end-to-end data pipelines, reduced latency, improved reliability, and streamlined efficiency using Snowflake with our partners. 

Data Lakes

Are you using Snowflake to augment your existing data lake strategy? Have you replaced or consolidated your legacy data lake into Snowflake? Get ready to share how your data strategy has changed and the impact that a fast and consolidated cloud data platform makes on your business.

Secure Data Sharing and Exchange

Are you sharing data with your partners, suppliers, vendors and customers? If so, your fellow Snowflake customers would love to hear your innovative use cases for Snowflake’s Secure Data Sharing, including our Public and Private Data Exchanges. Have your accessed new data types across and beyond your organization thanks to Snowflake? Have you built new revenue streams? Are you monetizing your data? If your answer is “yes” to any of these use cases, then we want to hear from your. 

Developing on Snowflake

Are you a developer or startup building new products and services on top of Snowflake? Share your ideas, experiences, and approaches to successfully integrating Snowflake within your analytical app.

  • Session Type and Length

    Breakout sessions are scheduled for 40 minutes of content followed by 10 minutes of Q+A

    * Off campus meals and other expenses will not be covered.

  • Content Development Timelines
    1. Submit your session title and abstract no later than Monday, February 10th
    2. Snowflake will review your submission and notify you by Friday, February 28
    3. If we accept your session, you’ll attend a track kick-off call in early March
    4. By Monday, March 16, finalize your session title, abstract, and tags, and provide a bio and headshot.
    5. Turn in draft slides for review by Friday, April 3
    6. Review slides with your track reviewer by Friday, April 24
    7. Submit your final slides by Friday, May 8
    8. Schedule a dry-run with your track reviewer by Friday, May 22
    9. Attend the speaker check-in and welcome reception at Summit 2020 on June 1
    10. Present at Summit the week of June 2-4
  • How many customer sessions will Snowflake accept?

    We’ll accept 60-80 customer sessions for Summit 2020 and will maintain a short waitlist. In addition to breakouts, we’ll have other opportunities for customers to present their stories at theater sessions, community meetups, customer panels, and industry gatherings.

  • Should I purchase an Early Bird Pass now or wait until my session is accepted?

    We recommend purchasing a Summit 2020 pass as soon as possible to take advantage of the significant early bird discounts. If you purchase a pass now and your session is accepted in February, we will refund you the cost of your pass.

  • Speaker Release Form

    You’ll be required to sign a speaker release form in order to present at Summit 2020. These forms will be available in February. Digitally signed forms will be due by March 16. If you have any questions, please contact [email protected] before submitting a session.

  • What happens if I can no longer present?

    If you have to drop your session for any reason, we understand. We will ask you to either purchase or return your Summit 2020 pass.

  • What if I’m a partner and I would like to present?

    Thank you for your interest. At this time, we are not accepting sessions directly from partners. If you have a customer who would like to present on your behalf, have them submit a customer session. If you have any questions, please contact [email protected]
