Snowflake for gaming
Analyzing JSON with SQL
Deliver valuable insight from JSON data using SQLDownload
More than 99 percent of gamers never venture past the free version of a game. Striking a balance between player retention, recognizing patterns among users who love your games, and monetizing that experience is a never-ending pursuit.
Online games generate huge streams of data about players and game play. Data from player profiles, interactions, and transactions can offer insights to optimize game play and player engagement. However, the velocity and diversity of that data is challenging to handle with traditional
data warehouse and big data offerings.
Snowflake provides a data warehouse that can handle varying types of data and the demands to process it fast. Our built-for-the-cloud data warehouse enables constant and updated insights you can use to enhance games, improve game play, and drive revenue.
Simplify Data Pipelines
With Snowflake, combine your multiple systems for events, players, and transactions into a single location. Users get immediate access to raw data, while that data is being loaded and transformed, for business reports and dashboards without resource contention.
Deliver Insights Faster
Snowflake instantly scales compute separate from storage, up and down, automatically, or on the fly, for an unlimited number of concurrent workloads independent of each other and charged at per-second pricing.
Snowflake’s zero-management service delivers built-in performance and security. Automatic scaling and optimization enable you to focus on improving games and profitability. No infrastructure to tweak, no knobs to turn, and no tuning required.
I can’t say enough about how fantastic the native JSON support is. I’ve never actually seen anything that worked until now. Using SQL, Snowflake lets us load our JSON data as is, flatten it all out, load it into the event tables, and then parse that into views. My analysts are really happy about this.
