This West Village townhouse was the final residence of James Beard, the iconic cookbook author and personality often referred to as the “Dean of American Cookery.” Before his death in 1985, Beard welcomed students into his kitchen for classes at the James Beard Cooking School, and hosted luminaries like Julia Child and Jacques Pepin.
