Essential hands-on training to elevate your Snowflake skills

WHAT TO EXPECT

Snowflake Ascent: Business User Edition is a hands-on workshop that introduces business users to the Snowflake AI Data Cloud, its architecture, how to connect to it and how to analyse and report data insights from it.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Snowflake Ascent: Business User Edition has been designed for business users and data analysts who have a working knowledge of SQL.

It’s not for Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Database Administrators or Data Architects, or those who have already taken the Snowflake Fundamentals course.

COURSE PREREQUISITES 

  • A basic knowledge of SQL is required
  • Bring your own laptop and charger
  • Snowflake Community account (sign up here)

ACQUIRED SKILLS

  • Connect to and interact with the Snowflake Data Cloud
  • Use BI tools for data analysis in Snowflake
  • Summarise query constructs, data definition language (DDL), and data manipulation language (DML) operations
  • Use Snowflake’s extensive SQL capabilities, built-in window, and approximation functions to support data analysis
  • Visualise data outside of Snowflake

The workshop is delivered in-person by Snowflake Instructors.
