Sanjay K Deshmukh

Senior Regional Vice President, ASEAN and India, Snowflake

Sanjay Deshmukh is the Senior Regional Vice President for Snowflake for ASEAN and India and is based in Singapore. He is responsible for building and executing a successful strategy to drive adoption and expansion of Snowflake’s Data Cloud in ASEAN and India region.

During a career spanning over 25 Years, he has led organisations in emerging technologies like Analytics, Cloud and Mobility through start-up, change and accelerated growth phase. He is passionate about helping customers transform their business and unlock the true value of their data.

In his earlier assignment, Deshmukh was Vice President at VMware responsible for the business in South-East Asia Korea region. He has previously worked for SAP India as Vice President for Business User and Platform Group and was instrumental in pioneering Business Intelligence and Analytics in India sub-continent in his role as the Country Manager for Business Objects.

Torsten Grabs

Senior Director Of Product Management, Snowflake

Torsten currently serves as Senior Director of Product Management for Snowflake where he heads product management for Snowflake’s data engineering, data lake, and data science workloads as well as the Snowpark developer platforms. Before joining Snowflake, Torsten spent more than a decade at Microsoft in the SQL Server product group in Redmond, WA, serving in different roles in software development and product management. Considering himself a “database person”, Torsten holds a PhD in computer science from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zurich, Switzerland.

Duncan Eadie

Managing Director
Cloud, Infrastructure & Engineering Lead
Growth Markets, Accenture Technology

Duncan is Managing Director within Accenture Technology, and leads Accenture’s Cloud, Infrastructure & Engineering practice for Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa and Latin America. He is focused on enabling clients’ business reinvention using full stack cloud, data & AI solutions.

Duncan has extensive experience in technology transformation and operations programs across all industry groups for 25+ years. His work has included overall program management for all aspects of a global cloud transformation; implementation of a global outsourced operating model for modern IT operations across five continents; and delivery governance and quality assurance for multiple regional hybrid and public cloud transformation managed services and technology modernisation programs.

Duncan is a technology expert, holding certifications including AWS Certified Practitioner, Google Cloud Digital Leader, CMU Cloud Advisor and MIT Green Cloud Advisor and Accenture Elite Quality Assurance Director. He holds a M.A. hons (economics) degree from the University of Cambridge.

Duncan is based in Singapore.

Ms. WENG Wanyi 翁宛仪

Director, Government Data Office
Smart Nation and Digital Government Office

A 15-year veteran of the Singapore Police Force, DAC Weng is currently seconded to the Smart Nation and Digital Government Office (SNDGO) as Director of the Government Data Office (GDO). GDO drives the Government Data Strategy, which seeks to harness the power of data to improve policies and public services to citizens while sharing and using data in a responsible and secure manner.

Prior to this role, DAC Weng was awarded the prestigious Fulbright fellowship in 2020 by the US Government to pursue a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College. Uniquely positioned at the intersection of policy, technology and management, the programme emphasised technical training in preparing public service leaders for the complexities of a digital society. Graduating with top honours, DAC Weng’s capstone project client was a global pharmaceutical company where she worked on assessing possible bias in their machine learning algorithms.

DAC Weng was part of the Ministry of Home Affairs Science & Technology Office, tasked with the conceptualisation and creation of the Home Team Science & Technology Agency (HTX). In her policing career, she has served as the Assistant Director of the Digital Transformation Department, as well as completed stints in investigation, strategic planning and traffic policing.

DAC Weng holds a MSc in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a MSc in the History of International Relations from the London School of Economics.

She is also the proud mother of two children, aged 7 and 2.
