We’re thrilled to invite you to the Snowflake PowerUp Hackathon, a half-day in-person event designed to help startups and digital-native teams enhance their applications with Snowflake’s AI and ML capabilities (Cortex, Snowflake ML, and more), and with seamless data integration powered by Openflow, because there is no AI strategy without a data strategy.You’ll bring your own use case, get expert advice and hands-on mentorship from Snowflake Solution Engineers, and leave with concrete patterns you can adapt in your product—without adding yet another AI stack to your architecture.

What You’ll LearnThrough guided labs, you’ll gain practical skills to build AI and ML use cases directly on Snowflake. You’ll select from:

• Lab 1 – Cortex AI Functions & Unstructured Insights: Use Cortex AI Functions to analyse text, images, and audio directly in Snowflake with SQL, turning your data into an AI-ready pipeline without extra infra (e.g. support ticket triage or product review analysis).
• Lab 2 – Conversational Analytics with Cortex Analyst: Add a “chat with your data” experience on top of your warehouse so anyone can ask questions in natural language and get trusted, SQL-backed answers (e.g. “show me yesterday’s signups by channel” or “which customers are at risk of churn?”).
• Lab 3 – Snowflake Intelligence / Cortex Agents: Build copilot-style agents on your Snowflake data that explain the “why” behind metrics and suggest next steps (e.g. a sales or ops copilot that summarises accounts, pipeline, or incidents).
• Lab 4 – Cortex Code: Use an AI pair programmer to generate SQL, Python, schemas, and dashboards in Snowflake from natural language so your small team ships features faster (e.g. scaffolding new data models and dashboards on the fly).
• Lab 5 Cortex REST API: In this lab you’ll build a universal text enrichment microservice powered by Snowflake Cortex REST API, turning it into a drop‑in LLM backend for your existing applications.
• Lab 6  – Openflow CDC from Postgres: Build a real-time CDC pipeline from your app’s Postgres database into Snowflake using Openflow, so analytics and AI always run on fresh transactional data (e.g. live bookings/orders dashboards or up-to-date features for your models and agents).
