Calling all public sector innovators!
We are hosting our first Scottish focussed public sector hackathon in Edinburgh in partnership with Catalyst BI on the 11th June 2025. Dive deep into cross departmental data sharing and discover how Snowflake can empower your organisation, and the wider public sector.
Join us for a day of cross government collaboration and accelerated learning. We will be forming mixed teams to compete in the hackathon.

What you’ll do:
- Work within a team to ideate on what problem you could solve, given the data you have
- Help to develop a data focused solution to address the designated problem
- Share ideas and data with other teams
- Present your results
Potential Problem Streams:
- Tackling climate-linked risks and inequalities
- Supporting social care services
- Eradicating child poverty
- Or… bring a problem of your own to ‘hack’!
Who should attend:
- Anyone that works with data
- Anyone that uses data to make decisions or define policy
- Anyone who’s keen to solve real-world problems
Prerequisites:
- A laptop, to participate in the hackathon
