WHAT TO EXPECT
Data is growing rapidly and becoming more complex to store, process, and govern. In this workshop, we will introduce you to the fictitious bank, Snowbank, created by the team at Snowflake.
This will begin with an A-Z on the capabilities of the Data Cloud, and getting you ready to begin using your Snowflake account. You will complete the process of setting up the Snowbank Foundational Data Model, Workload Specific Roles + Warehouses and all necessary Role Based Access Control (RBAC). Other features that will be showcased will include:
1. Ingesting and transforming data natively – batch and streaming data,
2. Apply governance and controls with different roles,
3. Hands-on view of data protection with Cloning, Time Travel and Fail Safe,
4. Hands-on view on creating dashboards in Snowsight.
5. Bonus hands-on to create an editable Reference table with the hottest feature – Streamlit!
Join your peers, for a free, in-person hands-on workshop designed to inform, share and explore what is possible with The Data Cloud. This instructor led lab will outline local and global best-practice in all areas of data warehousing, data lakes, data engineering, data science, data applications and data sharing. Built for the Melbourne data community, this is an invite-only event that will include networking drinks and snacks.
