Hear from a Snowflake Customer: Delivering an Energy Demand Flexibility Service at Pace with Snowflake
Over the past year, EDF’s data teams have completely transformed the data landscape for the organisation. Migrating all data sources into a single Snowflake data lake and building a new MLOps platform centred around Snowflake’s Snowpark Python API. These changes led to a significant improvement in data access and increased efficiency for the data science team meaning a projected 4 x uplift in data products for 2023. In this talk, we will share how the data lake migration to Snowflake and Snowpark Python helped the team build a complete MLOp’s solution in just two months and how the platform enabled EDF to quickly deliver a brand-new demand flexibility service. Supporting EDF’s customers to save energy and helping the UK to avoid blackouts during winter 2022.
