XY Sense is an AI-powered, privacy-first sensor that tracks the utilization occupancy of office spaces. So our sensors are made and designed right here in Melbourne.

Our customers use our sensors to get real-time insights on the utilization of their office spaces. So our mission is to empower our customers to make data-driven decisions, to reduce their workplace costs, to make their workplaces efficient, optimal and nice for people to work in and to future-proof their workplace strategy.

It's a camera-based sensor that will take images and turn it into x, y coordinates. And essentially it then converts into x, y coordinates on a floor plan. There'll be multiple sensors in an office space or floor, and it's gathering data every two seconds.

Our sensors are privacy-first, which means no information about a person is ever captured or transmitted through our systems. And our goal is to be able to use anonymized data to be able to provide actionable insights.

I think a big challenge in the industry for not just us, but for a lot of organizations in this space, is just the variety of data that's available. And that's where Snowflake comes in, is actually synthesizing all that data in one place, extracting value and serving that in a way that customers can make data-driven decisions.

One of the things we love most about Snowflake is how easy it is to get up and going. It's a couple of clicks to deploy infrastructure, very easy to run code on it, and it's very easy to deploy productionize environment very quickly. So we found that even as a team of two, we were able to get some pretty impressive production-grade infrastructure going in just a couple of weeks.

And integrating to Snowflake was actually super simple. It's plug and play. There was a connector already built in. It was very simple to set up and also very secure. So we can know that our data is being handled in the right way.

We do like the fact that Snowflake has a whole suite of features that we can use. It means as we add more features, we can choose the ones that apply to us. We're also adding a lot of AI features to our products in the future. And it means once we do get to that point, we can integrate more of those AI features and deliver value to our customers a lot faster.
