TABLES

OSM_NODE
——–

It is one of the three core elements of OSM. It is represented by a point on the map like a shop in a mall. For each node we have at least ID number, Latitude and Longitude.

Field Description
PK_NODE – This is the primary key for the node elements.
ID – This is the Node ID.
LAT – This gives the Latitude of the node.
LON – This gives the Longitude of the node.

OSM_NODE_TAG
————

It contains the tag data in the form of key value pairs for nodes. One node can have multiple tags.

Field Description
FK_NODE – This is the foreign key that references PK_NODE in the Node table.
K – This is the key of the tag.
V – This is the value of the tag.
For example k=shop, v=supermarket.

OSM_WAY
——-

It is another core element. It is the ordered list of nodes which has at least one tag or is included in the relation. It is of two types, open way and closed way. Closed way is where the first and the last node is the same.

Field Description
PK_WAY – This is the primary key of the table.
ID – This is the Way ID.

OSM_WAY_TAG
———–

It contains the tag data in the form of key value pairs for ways. One way can have multiple tags.

Field Description
FK_WAY – This is the foreign key that references PK_WAY in the WAY table.
K – This is the key of the tag.
V – This is the value of the tag.
For example, k=shop, v=mall.

OSM_ND

It contains the ordered list of nodes that make a way.

Field Description
PK_ND – This is the primary key for the ND table which also gives the order of the nodes.
FK_WAY – This is the foreign key that references PK_WAY in the WAY table.
REF – This is the foreign key that references ID in the NODE table.

OSM_RELATION
——–

It is another element that contains an ordered list of nodes,ways and/or relations that shows the geographical and logical relationship between them. It also contains one or more tags.

Field Description
PK_RELATION – This is the primary key of the table.
ID – This is the relation ID.

OSM_RELATION_TAG

It contains the tag data in the form of key value pairs for relations. One relation can have multiple tags.

Field Description
FK_RELATION – This is the foreign key that references PK_RELATION in the RELATION table.
K – This is the key of the tag.
V – This is the value of the tag.

OSM_MEMBER
———-

It contains the ordered list of elements that make a relation. It also contains a field named role that describes the part that a particular feature plays within a relation.

Field Description
FK_RELATION – This is the foreign key that references PK_RELATION in the RELATION table.
REF – This is the foreign key that references the ID in the respective table where table name can be retrieved from the type field.
ROLE – This gives the role that a particular feature plays within a relation.
TYPE_ – This gives the type of the REF like node, way or relation.

OSM_RETAIL
————-

It contains a unique combination of top 50 tags from node and top 50 tags from way which have a key as ‘shop’.

Field Description
ID – This is the ID. It can be of WAY or NODE which can be determined by TYPE field.
GEO_SRC_CD – This gives the coordinates for the data. It is of the data type geometry. It stores Point when type is Node and Polygon when type is Way.
WEBSITE – This stores the full URL to the official website.
ADDR_POSTCODE – This stores the postal code.
FUEL_DIESEL – This gives us whether diesel at the site is fuel.
SECOND_HAND – This determines whether a shop sells second-hand items with value as only or yes.
ADDR_HOUSENAME – This gives us the name of the house.
INDOOR – This gives us the value such as room, area etc.
WHEELCHAIR – This indicates if a special place can be used with wheelchairs.
BEAUTY – This gives us the service provided by the beauty shop.
PAYMENT_MASTERCARD – This determines whether the mastercard is accepted or not.
ROOF_LEVELS – This gives us a number of floors within the roof.
OLD_NAME – This gives us old / previous / historic name(s) for an element.
AMENITY – This describes useful and important facilities for visitors and residents.
LANDUSE – This describes the primary use of areas of land.
ROOM – This precisely defines the function of a given room.
NAME – This gives us the Name of the element.
OPERATOR – This gives us the name a company, corporation, person or any other entity who is directly in charge of the element.
FUEL_OCTANE_95 – This determines whether octane 95 is available or not.
CONTACT_TWITTER – This gives us the twitter account name or the full url.
ROOF_SHAPE – This describes the shape of a building’s roof.
BUILDING_COLOUR – This gives us the colour of the facade of a building or building part.
CLOTHES – This gives us further information on the kind of clothes sold at a clothes shop.
SHOP – This is a place selling retail products or services.
