SafeGraph: Cross Shopping Insights – US
Geographic patterns and brand affinities in consumer spending
This dataset includes a feature release of our Spend dataset and contains consumer spending insights for major brands and chains across the US.
SafeGraph’s Spend contains anonymized debit and credit card transaction data aggregated to individual places in the US.
Gain insights on how spend behavior is changing over time at specific points of interest (POI), including the average transaction size, spend in-person vs. online, spend by customer demographics such as income, and spend by customer loyalty.

All SafeGraph POI-based datasets utilize Placekey as the primary key and are formatted as delimited CSVs. SafeGraph updates the Spend dataset every month with the past month’s openings and closings and maintains a persistent Placekey across releases. Our detailed SafeGraph Spend Schema(1) is available online. Additionally please refer to Places Data Manual(2) for more detailed field definitions and methodologies. Our Places Summary Statistics(3) is updated with every monthly release to reflect data coverage.
