Attom: US Property Values - Powered by Demyst

Contains data for more than 155 million U.S. properties.

Description:

Provided via DemysData, Attom’s database of information is typically used in underwriting processes for both insurance and banking. An insurance company may be interested in property characteristics which may indicate riskiness of a property (e.g. foundation type, plumbing, HVAC systems, garage details, fireplace details) while a bank may be interested in details regarding the historical ownership of the property or mortgage details (e.g. mortgage servicers, interest rate, amount).

Across both banks and insurance companies, this dataset may also be used to identify characteristics regarding the business occupying the commercial property (e.g. whether they own or rent) which can act as powerful indicators in determining credit behavior of the business.

In addition, Attom can also be joined to a more traditional business bureau dataset by doing a reverse lookup on the address to identify associated businesses. With 155 million properties and frequent updates, Attom serves as one of the key property databases for pulling together a wide range of information regarding commercial properties.
