One of our top priorities at Snowflake Ventures is to make it even easier for Snowflake customers to unlock the value of advanced analytics and AI-driven applications. That’s why we invest in companies that integrate deeply with the Data Cloud to simplify and accelerate all types of data science projects, including data preparation, analysis and machine learning.

Our latest investment, in Dataiku, is a prime example of this. Dataiku is one of the world’s leading AI and machine learning platforms, providing a unique visual interface and experience that allows data teams to collaborate on building automated data pipelines, powerful predictive analytics, and practical AI-driven applications.

By deepening our partnership with companies like Dataiku, our joint customers can take advantage of the power these specialized AI platforms provide while still enjoying the elastic scale, access to data and usage-based pricing that the Data Cloud offers. Additionally, as more data and machine learning workloads operate within the Data Cloud, organizations benefit from simplified security and governance.

We’ve worked closely with Dataiku for several years, and in November we deepened our partnership through an integration that makes it easy for organizations to provision and deploy Dataiku’s platform in the Snowflake Cloud. Dataiku and Snowflake are benefitting from the powerful combination of Snowflake’s performance, near-unlimited scale and concurrency with Dataiku’s machine learning and model management capabilities.

The impact of these investments in AI will be further amplified through Snowpark, the new developer experience in Snowflake. Snowpark, which is currently in preview, will allow data engineers, data scientists, and developers to write code in their languages such as Scala, Java, and Python using familiar programming concepts, and then execute workloads such as data transformation, data preparation, and feature engineering on Snowflake.

As businesses look for more ways to implement AI to drive their businesses forward, we will continue to seek investments and partnerships that make it simpler for businesses and data teams to unlock the power of AI, machine learning and other forms of advanced analytics.
