On the last day of Summit, Matthew Glickman, Snowflake VP of Customer and Product Strategy, gave the closing keynote, titled “Your Journey to Become Data Driven.”

Matthew began the keynote by sharing a common scenario of Snowflake customers: legacy databases that have fundamental deficiencies and that management is not even sure work anymore. This is combined with an environment stalled by the lack of business buy-in and the burden of legacy technical debt.

To showcase how Snowflake users made their journey to become data-driven, Matthew invited several Snowflake customers to the stage:

  • Brian Dumman, Chief Data and Analytics Officer, McKesson
  • Yaniv Bar-Dayan, Cofounder and CEO, Vulcan Cyber
  • Michal Klos, Senior Director of Engineering, Indigo/Localytics

The new breed of data services

McKesson

Both a sponsor and the first official customer of Snowflake on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Fortune 10 company McKesson is advancing their business with Snowflake by powering the development of next-generation applications and products. In production on Snowflake in just 90 days, through this cloud-first approach, McKesson will be closely partnering with Google and Snowflake to transform the way they gain invaluable insights into all aspects of the business.

Vulcan Cyber

An entirely new breed of “Data Services,” Vulcan Cyber Snowflake is now live on the Snowflake Data Exchange. By enriching securely shared data rather than simply providing data, customers will have ready access to information that will enable them to quickly identify and address security-related anomalies.

Indigo

Voted as the #1 disruptor on the planet by CNBC, Indigo is using Snowflake to transform the agricultural industry and accomplish things that were simply not possible with traditional architectures.

The future of data has arrived

As these customer stories showed, Snowflake has the capabilities to be a trusted solution to guide you from base camp to the summit of mastering data. Big thanks go to Brian, Michal, and Yaniv for speaking during the closing keynote and thanks to all who attended.
