We’re counting down the days to Snowflake BUILD, our Data Cloud developer summit. The agenda is filled with product announcements, hands-on labs, and advice straight from our developer community. Here are five reasons this year’s virtual global summit is a must-attend:

1. We’ve got news.

Snowflake’s Senior Vice President of Engineering and Support, Greg Czajkowski, and Chris Child, Senior Director of Product Management, will share exciting product announcements and the latest from our recently launched Powered by Snowflake program. Hear how founding partners such as Zeta and Lacework are leveraging our growing library of resources and engineering experts to build their apps and businesses on Snowflake.

2. Get technical.

We’re going to make it real for you with hands-on labs that walk through key functions and use cases step by step. We’re especially excited about our Snowpark session, which will showcase our new data programmability capabilities and detail how developers can use Java UDFs (currently in preview) to bring complex logic rules into Snowflake without moving data. The AWS partner session will be similarly tactical, teaching attendees how to bring in third-party data from Snowflake Data Marketplace to enrich their data sets, how to connect Snowflake to AWS SageMaker Data Wrangler, and how to leverage pre-built feature engineering transformations within the platform.

3. Learn from your peers.

We know who you want to hear from most—each other! Throughout the event, we’ll be hosting BUILD.local virtual breakouts for user groups in your region. In these sessions, you’ll hear directly from peers in your community on the topics that matter most, from re-platforming applications to best practices for automating roles, data sharing, and databases in Snowflake.

4. Hear from innovators.

Our customer panels will zoom back out to shine a light on businesses that are pushing the envelope for what’s possible in a data-driven organization. Hear from the likes of Twilio, CloudZero, and IQVIA about the ways they are using Snowflake to power their businesses, from processing PII and sensitive data to improving app performance.

5. Be first to see the next big thing.

Countless startups are turning to Snowflake to power their businesses. At BUILD, you’ll hear from some of the industry’s rising stars—including Bryan Shupe, co-founder and CEO of Overlay Analytics, the winner of Snowflake’s 2021 Startup Challenge—and join a fireside chat with Stefan Williams, Senior Director, Corporate Development and Snowflake Ventures, to gain the venture capitalist perspective on where the data ecosystem is headed.

We look forward to seeing you—and hearing about what you’re building—at BUILD 2021. Register here today.
