How Instacart’s Catalog Flourished While Hyper-Growing
Presenter: Alex Charlton, Sr. Software Engineer, Instacart
Date/Time: Tuesday, Nov 27, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM | Venetian, Level 4, Lando 4202
Learn how Instacart re-imagined its catalog data processing pipeline to utilize Snowflake, the data warehouse built for the cloud. Instacart grew from a hand-entered catalog to one that processes billions of data points daily. Keeping pace with customer demand prompted Instacart to take an entirely new approach to addressing the unique challenges of grocery catalog curation. Through Snowflake’s unique architecture, which separates compute from storage, Instacart has increased their ability to quickly scale while improving the accuracy, traceability and quality of their reporting. Having better information leads to offering more customized grocery catalog options that delight their customers.
Private Link for Partners: Connectivity, Scale, Security
Laura Caicedo – Partner Solutions Architect, AWS
Nick Matthews – Principal Solutions Architect, AWS
Paul Barber – Managing Director, Product Architecture, Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC)
Jonathan Sander – Security Field CTO, Snowflake Computing
Date/Time: Thursday, Nov 29, 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM | Aria East, Level 1, Joshua 9
In this session, we review how technology and consulting partners can utilize AWS PrivateLink, a networking service that allows for a service behind a load balancer to be privately placed into other VPCs as well as on-premises. You can use PrivateLink to help scale a SaaS service, simplify microservices, simplify the network connectivity of managed service providers, and create a more secure environment for partner products inside customer VPCs. In this session, we focus on the design and service architecture requirements as well as the business considerations for implementing PrivateLink for your product or service.
Schedule a meeting at the AWS re:Invent conference in Las Vegas and we’ll show you how Snowflake delivers the performance, simplicity, concurrency, and affordability not possible with other data warehouse platforms.
Thank you, we will reach out shortly to schedule a meeting with you.
